Following the recent renovations of its other offices worldwide, the Morningstar office in Toronto has embraced the open-plan office concept and its value of efficient workflow, open communication and equality. The square floor plate of the office was systematically subdivided into a series of smaller boxes set within a larger box. Service and storage areas occupied the central core followed by a series of board rooms, private telephone rooms and reception area in the next box.  The outer box opens outwards to the perimeter windows and allows all workstations and casual meeting areas to bask in natural sunlight.
